Today, we officially are out of our Pre-K Co-op and are the PROUD parents of a kindergartner. He will have to go to full time school in 3 months. Like, I can't decide to not send him because we feel like going to Disneyland that day, or we overslept and didn't want to make his carpool driver wait too long for us to dress him and tame the wildness that is his hair in the morning... This makes me panic a little bit. This will be the start of his "real" education. It really matters now. School is very important to me.
I want him to be well-educated and have options for his life.
So, yeah. We are done with Co-op.
I didn't even get the chance to emotionally process this because how could
I with all the craziness that ensued after his promotion?
The kids were treated to a breakfast buffet and an ICE CREAM bar and as a special treat, a balloon artist was brought in. The kids were super excited about this.
The girls got some lovin' from my parents during the ceremony
We were given an end-of-year evaluation of Charlie at the end of the promotion and I can't say enough how proud I am of him and his beautiful little mind. He got all G's (Equivalent to A's) on the categories and a wonderful note from his teacher...
And while we're doting on my sweet baby boy, I might as well throw these in there.
We are also done with our first T-ball session. His closing ceremonies were last Saturday and he got a trophy. That sweet (plastic) trophy. He has been waiting for this trophy since his first game.
No wonder it gets kisses...

Wow. I can't believe he is already 5. I can't believe he graduated preschool and it's already time for him to go to "real" school. I wish I could just hit the pause button, it's going way too fast. But he is an amazing human being - good job Mama!
