Charlie and Kate like to help me prepare dinner.
First, we had to wash our hands...
They are polar opposites when it comes to hygiene.
Kate washes her hands 30 times a day
whereas Charlie thinks a little dirt in his food is no big deal.
Kate always has a snack within her reach.
She would chop up a few carrots and then, a bite of apple and so on.

Last night, in honor of the first day of Summer,
we cut up a ton of fresh veggies and made our
own spaghetti sauce over pasta shells and we ate outside on a big blanket.
I would've taken photos of it but it didn't go over so well.
Ella kept crawling in everyone else's plates and flipped her own bowl over 3 times...
Charlie kept wanting to go on the swings since they were right behind him and Kate was cold.
We'll have to perfect our picnicking skills over the summer.
Later on, Miss Kate wanted to help me with my chocolate chip
cookie dough recipe that I'm trying to test before Ella's big party on Sunday.
She ate more chocolate chips than she put in the bowl but that's ok.
and of course, you can't forget her snack.
Her beloved slice of mozzarella cheese.

Today was one of those days. A million things to do. An extra kid to drive me crazy love.
Eliane wanted to enjoy a girl day with Angie and Charlie & Mark had a fun day playing
together so it all worked out perfectly.
Getting out of the house was a feat all in itself. Dressing the babies, finding the boys' shoes (twice), getting all the stuff they could possibly need while out AND still managing to forget to bring baby wipes. Then, making it through lunch (thanks Didi!) and a Target run and still being alive to talk about it! Phew...
I'm exhausted just writing it all out.

I know I'm a day late but have a great Summer!!

I love this post, that's my Kate... I have trained her well with the cleanliness. C on the other hand, I have a little more work to do. By the way I love her little snacks - at least they are healthy!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried cheese and chocolate chips, interesting combo. She is too cute. You're insane for taking that many kids, where did you put your stuff?
