Of all the things there is to do on this planet, of all the places to go and all the people to see...
one of my kids' favorite things to do is swing.
They would even choose this over Disneyland! Can you believe that?!
Charlie will race inside the house after school and right away,
popsicle in hand, he will head straight for his swingset.
One-handed swinging is his strong suit. He's talented, my boy.
Kate hasn't quite gotten there yet, but she loves to try.
It makes her sad when she sees Charlie sailing through the air
but can't do that herself just yet.
Until we give her a running start and then she's all smiles again.

While all of this is happening, little Miss Ella is busy scavenging for any
little thing she can possibly find to put in her mouth... seriously.
This girl will put anything not glued to the ground in her mouth if I let her.
Besides the peaceful swinging hour, today has been one of those days where
everything has gone wrong and bedtime can't come fast enough.
The crying and the whining have just about gotten the best of me.
I'm so ready for these terrible 2's to be over with.
Just thought I'd throw that in there because life isn't always perfect and peaceful, is it?
Oh, and the laundry pile is almost taller than I am again...*sigh*
So, there you have it.

Fleche... I can totally relate and it feels good to know that I'm not alone...
