"There is no more — a higher calling — than raising children who are kind, who live with grace and who are going to be generous human beings in the world. There isn’t anything greater than that."

Growing

They're growing so fast I can barely keep up!
Doesn't it just seem like YESTERDAY I made this blog post about my girls??!

It was only 4 months ago but in comparison they look SO much older.

It makes me anxious.

Am I doing enough with them? Am I teaching them all they should know?

Ella is suddenly exploding with language.
Among her newest ones... Grandpa, Grandma, Smiley, Tante Be, Bebe,
Didi, encore, ball, bateau, livre, allo, bye, finit and ou.
This is by far, her favorite thing to do right now... read books.

This was the only peace and quiet I had in my day until this one came along...
in her pajamas and added headband du jour and sparkly black flats.

She makes animal noises in coordination with her favorite book.
And is a big fan of pointing out the body parts you request.
"Nez, oreilles, joues et bouche..."

(For all ya English speakers, they only speak french for now til they go to school.
Whatever English they know, they've learned from TV or being out and about.)

I adore her golden strands of hair. I feel rich whenever I look at them.

I adore how she sticks out her little tongue when she concentrates just like I do.

She's such a beautiful little girl...
(Gotta love the leg warmers...she keeps 'em on all day and dances around in them.)

She and Kate have become fast friends and although they fight a lot for the same toys,
they keep each other very busy all day long. That makes me happy because
it was really affecting Kate not having Charlie around since he started Kindergarten.

It seriously has to be the best sound in the world, the way Kate makes Ella belly laugh.

And last, but CERTAINLY not least...
I left them playing on the floor with their dolls.
I cam back in to Ella checking herself out in the mirror.
She climbed Kate's bed to the dresser...
Can you say heart attack!?
