I was just reading some old posts and came across the one
where we went to the fair a couple of years ago with the kids.
What a difference 2 years can make!
Then...
Then...
Wow... look how tiny they were!
It's pretty cool to read back on.
I still love the fair just as much. Although it's not nearly
as fun when you're on a diet and can't eat all the good stuff,
I still love everything else just as much.
I love looking at all the stuff everyone has turned in, all the photography entries
and cakes and tablescapes. It's fun to draw inspiration from the creativity of others.

The smells, all the colors... the kids' faces all lit up with joy.
Kate was so proud to wear her fair shirt to the fair...
She refused to wear it for weeks so that she could wear it to an actual fair.
Her wardrobe choices are so funny. She is so specific in what she wants
and looks like. She reminds me so much of myself.

The old stand-by favorites remained the same.
The Goliath slide, the pony rides, cotton candy...
I mean, look how happy cotton candy makes this child!
It's crazy, this girl's eye color. I adore it.
I still can't believe I got a little green eyed girl...
