It's hard to believe that Kate was the same age Ella is now when she got her ears pierced.
But she was...
How funny is it that both girls had bruises when we did this?
Kate had a big old shiner on her forehead and Ella had the remains of a black eye.
On a recent shopping trip to Brea we decided since we were there
we would pierce Ella's ears at the same place that Kate had hers done.
I felt so bad for her. She had no idea what was coming.
I wish they would've done them both at the same time!
They did one and then she had to endure the other.
She looked at me like I was so mean. It broke my heart.
Poor girl, she looks a little roughed up.
After the first few rough nights she doesn't even know they're there now.
She looks so sweet and girlie with her new earrings. Kate is proud that she and her sister
both have pierced ears like me. She points it out every chance she gets.
We had the privilege of taking a dear friend to lunch for her birthday recently.
The kids were a special kind of handful that day. The kind that has mama takin'
deep, DEEP breaths all day and counting to 10 over and over again inside her head
so as not to completely lose it. This photo alone sets the tone for it...
Oh, and Kate also chose new shoes.
Ya gotta love anything that will make your kid jump for joy like that, right?

Popped over here from Heidi's blog and wanted to say ... love your header, just adorable! And, my girl's name is Ella, too! I also looked at your photography tab and loved the decor photos towards the end ... the flowers and grapes.
