I love a good yard sale.
Although,I'm not really one to sift through pile after pile of someone's old, unwanted clothing
(that always has that same musty smell, no matter who is hosting the yard sale).
Honestly the thought of buying someone's old clothes really grosses me out
but throw some old furniture in there, dying to be refurbished, repainted or reupholstered
and I'm a happy, happy girl.
Last weekend my mom had a yard sale.
The girls ran through racks of old clothes, played with the old toys
and ate way too many donuts but they had a great time while we sat there
and handled the crazies who tried to bargain us down from .50 to a quarter.
It was kind of sad to see all of our old games being sold. The ones we played so many times
that the sand timer was broken, and half the cards were bent and torn.
Hopefully, another family will enjoy them as much as we did.
I bought 2 of these from my mom and I CAN'T WAIT to reupholster them and put them to good use.
It wasn't half bad, I made a few bucks, got new furniture and cleared up some space in the house.
Of course the day we chose to hold our sale, it had to be 100 degrees outside.
Sweaty, tired, chubby-cheeked babies slept soundly in mama's arms.
and OF COURSE, that had to be the day the AC in my car decided to die on me.
My poor girls were either sweaty messes or windblown from having all the windows down.
I hope this heat wave passes quickly as I was enjoying the last few weeks
we've been having of sunny, cool days. I'm not quite ready for the
scorching heat of Summer yet.

Poor little Ella, you really need to get your AC fixed!
