"There is no more — a higher calling — than raising children who are kind, who live with grace and who are going to be generous human beings in the world. There isn’t anything greater than that."

An Unexpected Twist

After a beautiful drive down to Seal Beach and beyond with my girls, enjoying a concert on the grass on Main St. I started to feel sick to my stomach. After being on a diet for almost a month I decided to have a hot dog for dinner. BIG mistake. I thought I was having a gas attack or something. They usually go away after about 15 minutes or so. This one didn't. It wasn't gas, it was a gallbladder attack. It lasted from about 1 am til about 5 am when I decided to drive myself to the ER. They did an ultrasound and quickly found that I had gallstones. SO not a fun experience. Morphine barely number the pain. I got 2 shots of it. The Drs. decided to squeeze me in between other surgeries but I'd have to wait until they had time. I got a shot of Delaudid (GREAT stuff) and visited with Eric, Jaclyne and a kind mon oncle Ray came to give me un imposition des main and stayed to chat for a little while. Around 5 pm I finally got wheeled back to the OR. Don't remember much after they gave me a shot to put me to sleep. Once I awoke, dear lord was I in pain! I stayed in the hospital over night and was able to leave the next afternoon. The toughest part was that I couldn't lift ANYTHING for 4 days. This included my poor little Ella. I wanted to take my babies so badly but I couldn't if I wanted to heal correctly.
