"There is no more — a higher calling — than raising children who are kind, who live with grace and who are going to be generous human beings in the world. There isn’t anything greater than that."

My Little Professor

Charlie is looking a little bit different these days.
I like it. A lot.

Back story: Pretty often after school when we were doing homework,
he would complain of headaches. He's done this before and it was
only to get out of doing homework so I didn't make anything of it, really.

When the complaints started of double vision and headaches, I started to worry.
We made an appointment for a vision test and a worried Charlie
listed all the letters he could see to the eye doctor.

Turns out, my boy really did need glasses!

We tried on about 50 pairs of little kid glasses.
Who knew there were so many styles for a little boy!!?

After much deliberation, we settled on the cutest, tiniest little Ray Bans
out there and Charlie was so excited to bring them home.

He said to me that he had butterflies in his tummy to wear
his glasses to school so all of his teachers and friends could see them.
He even wrote the cutest story in french class about a boy and his glasses.

Ever since he got them, he's been so good about always wearing them and
keeping them protected. I think he looks adorable and so much older.
Makes me a little sad.

I love my Charlie.
