It's been busy around here lately. Dr.'s appointments and school and Gymboree classes, buying new beds, trying to get ready for the new baby girl on her way... we had a little bit of a scare on Tuesday. I got my cerclage removed and had to go in to the hospital for the day to be monitored for possible PIH which is Pregnancy Induced Hypertension. I was sent home but it could still be a threat so I am going in for NST's (Non-Stress Tests) twice a week until she gets here to make sure she is thriving in there.
I've decided to not induce and just let her come when she comes. . . In some ways this is hard because that makes the waiting seem so indefinite. The date is no longer on the calendar when she will be here. Charlie was a bit of a surprise to us, as he arrived 9 weeks early. Kate, our little drama girl, was induced at 40 weeks. I wonder how this new blessing will make her appearance. Of course I have to realize that nothing ever happens as planned in my life. It's so exciting that in 4 weeks or so, we will have a new baby to love and spoil...
As I type this, my little Kate is hiding behind the front door peeking out with one eye every minute or so saying "Cou cou" to me. She finds this hilarious. She's been busy all morning playing with Charlie and reading books. Charlie is taking advantage as he sends her to get all his toys for him which she gladly does because the only thing she really wants is to play with him. She will catch on soon enough and tell him to get his own toys but for now, she's happy as a clam being his little puppy. She learned how to say I love you this week. She always knew what it was, but now she says it back when we say it to her. Be still my heart, I think it will beat out of my chest whenever I hear her say it.
Anyway, that's my update. The girls room *may* get finished tonight or tomorrow so I'll post pics soon. Kate will be SO thrilled when her little bed is installed and ready to go... Love y'all!
